We’re excited to announce the launch of our new free resource, the IT Guide for Hotels eBook. As a Pride of Britain Hotels preferred IT partner and hospitality specialist, we know a thing or two about technology in hotels, and have created this eBook to help hoteliers get the most out of THEIR IT.
This straight-talking guide makes the world of technology more accessible for hoteliers and comes at a time when the industry is under pressure to digitise and diffuse threats from technology-driven competitors such as AirBnB and HomeAway.
It explains manageable ways that any hotel can use technology to ease daily IT headaches, streamline operations and enhance customer service. With IT benefits too often buried in jargon and hoteliers busier than ever, the eBook offers refreshing, compact advice on everything from core property management systems to hotels-specific artificial intelligence.
Neil Homer, Director at Sentis Managed Solutions, founded the project after speaking to hoteliers who felt that their IT wasn’t working to its best potential and as a result, they weren’t getting value back. He knew there was a need for a go-to reference point to help hoteliers better understand technology and guide their tech decisions in a transparent way.
“Many hotels struggle unnecessarily with IT that doesn’t quite fit the bill. This is often because systems have evolved organically or in an ad-hoc manner out of necessity. As such, many hoteliers are unaware that there are better and more affordable options”, Neil says. “With this eBook, I want to break that stigma and hand the power back to hoteliers by showing how IT can become your best friend, not your nightmare”.
Neil continues, “The great thing about today’s technology is that it can be configured to satisfy requirements and budget. You just need some solid background knowledge and a good managed service provider to run with”.
“This eBook cuts through the noise and highlights what hoteliers actually need to know, including the essential key facts, benefits and cybersecurity risks that are so critical to be aware of in this digital, data-driven age”, Neil adds. “I know from personal experience that hoteliers have been undersold and this eBook is on a mission to fix that”.
